Fall Retreat
Guided fly–fishing, premium hospitality, and meaningful conversation in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.
November 13-15
White River, Arkansas
Life has a way of pulling us into constant motion. We stay busy, solve problems, care for everyone else, and keep pushing forward. Somewhere along the way, we lose sight of ourselves.
This fall, step away from the noise.
Join a small group of men for a weekend designed to help you slow down, reconnect with what matters most, and move into the next season of your life with greater clarity and purpose.

We are staying at White River Trout Club on the banks of the legendary White River.
WRTC has private cabins for guests, as well as a pavilion with a pool table, back deck overlooking the river, a fly shop, and a bar. This location was chosen for it’s scenic location and premium hospitality.

The main objectives for this trip are to get away, recharge, have fun, and make space for the conversations that don’t happen otherwise.
We will spend our days fishing with professional guides on jet boats in the White River. In the evenings we will eat a meal prepared by a private chef and our host will facilitate conversations meant to help us think about what matters most. There will be downtime to play pool in the lodge, sit by the river, or get to know other men.
-
The host for the weekend is Joshua Burdette, a Narrative–Focused Trauma Care certified coach from the Allender Center. Joshua has over a decade of experience coaching men, facilitating groups, and hosting events. When not coaching, Joshua is an amateur fly–fisher with passable casting skills. Read more about Joshua here.

A little bit of both. I’ve found that many men don’t need another conference or heavy programming; they need adventure, time outdoors, and someone to facilitate the conversations that wouldn’t happen otherwise. My hope is that you come back from this weekend with more perspective on the things that matter most and recharged by a bucket list adventure. You will also go home with two coaching tools to help move you forward. It’s more than just a fishing trip, and I hope you get more out of it than a typical conference.
-
Entrepreneurs and anyone with a development budget may be able to consider this retreat as a valid business expense or reimburseable expense due to the developmental nature of the programming.
-
The closest major airport is probably Little Rock, which is a 2.5 hour drive to the White River Trout Club. We may also be able to arrange transport from Tulsa, OK. Either option may require you to fly in on the 12th.
-
Since this retreat is limited to 5 men, you will need to first fill out an interest form to apply. The interest form is not a commitment to attend. Once you’ve filled out the interest form, I’ll be in contact to answer questions, discuss details, and collect a deposit if you choose to register. Once deposits for all 5 slots are received, I will form a waitlist in case of cancellations. Cancellations with refunds (minus a small processing fee) can be issued up to 3 weeks from the beginning of the retreat.
